| Skor is overall the best leader we have owned to date.
He has lead our A team in every race since we bought him 3 years
ago. He is a very reliable dog and very consistent in
harness. He has super tough feet in all conditions and has
never been injured racing/training with us. He is a excellent
eater and gobbles up everything you put in front of him with
great speed. We hope we can breed him one more time and try and
get a offspring of his of his caliber. Not an easy thing
to do when your daddy is so highly admired by his mushers :)
Gator is new to us but we are already in love with her.
She has our ideal build - she has a very strong topline,
perfectly balanced with great proportions, she has a nice front
end and great type. Really we wouldn't chance her build.
We have run her this spring in harness and she is a solid dog
who just does her job. She's a powerful mover and covers
ground in both gaits. Like Skor she is all muscle.
She also showed us she will be a future leader in training.
We really think she will be as good as her siblings

| Breeding to
Odie
was done for a number of reasons... for one he has always been
one of our favorites, he has a nice build, gorgeous type and is
one of the hardest driving Siberians we have ever seen run.
His record is amazing - he has finished 3 of 5 Iditarods (all 3
Karen finished) as well as many, many other 150-400 mile races.
Not only has he finished those but he has never been dropped
from any race, never been injured and never had an 'off' day in
harness in his 6 years of racing with Karen's top race team.
To us that is very impressive! Another reason we chose to
breed to him is he is Linc's sire.
Linc
is the hardest driving dog we have ever owned, no other dog in
our yard can match his drive and ability to push for speed.
The pedigree of Odie & Rainy together is 3/4 the same as Linc's
but this time we are just adding
Moses
to the pedigree who is also a very hard driving dog and a great
leader. Odie's 2 littermates
Loki
& Kara
are just as accomplished as he is and in our eye are 'ideal'
examples of our breed. Odie will be 10 in July so we
decided it was now or never to get a litter from him!
Odie's father
Striker was a solid team dog and Iditarod finisher and his
mother
Breezy was a fast leader and a Canadian Best In Show Winner.
Rainy is not our fastest dog, but she has traits we really
like. She works hard every training run and is just a
overall dependable dog. She is a reliable leader who goes
past any obstacles on the trail and is overall just a really
nice dog. In the yard she is a good eater, has a fabulous
temperament with dogs and people and has the neatest
personality. She has also never had a shoulder or wrist
injury. We were not sure we would breed Rainy again
because she lacks top speed but her first litter produced
Anya,
Sirius & Snitch
and they are exactly what we want to breed for. They
are all similar to her in harness but much faster so we know she
can produce well. |
