December 29th, 2005 - "Training Update"

Well we got in a few training runs on snow before we had to go back to ATV's (it's currently pouring rain here)..  We did our longest run Friday, roughly 24 miles in Sandwich Notch.  Tracker has really stepped it up and is turning into one fast, amazing leader.  He will be giving Dodge & Linc a run for their money to lead the team in the races. :)  We are so thrilled with him!  Godzilla has made a huge improvement on sleds compared to how he was running on the ATV.  We hope he continues to keep it up!  Quest has been a very good yearling and originally we thought we would leave him off the two day 30 mile Stratford team, just because he is the only yearling in training with all 2-6 yr olds, but he is really proving himself and is now a definate on that team (along with Dodge, Linc, Tracker & Decal).  6th team member to be determined later.

We will be welcoming a new puppy in our kennel at the end of January.  Dodge was bred to NorthWapiti's Whinny At Nanook in September and Whinny had 8 puppies (7 males and a female) mid-November.  We know we want a male pup, but are not picking until we go to the Craftsbury race.  If you want to check out the pups go to www.kazlosiberians.com

That's all the news for now!  We are crossing our fingers for snow soon!
