May 1, 2007 - "Spring Update"

We are really thrilled with how our race season ended.  When we look back on the season and discuss each dogs performance, we both noted that in every race our best dog on our team was Skor.  The yearling we are most impressed with is Myst, and the new upcoming leader stars are Quest & Rainy.

A few dogs have moved on to other homes.  First was Togo - now he is a dog we are very fond of, but after Karen lost his half sister, Snickers in the Iditarod we decided to offer him back to her.  That was a really tough decision and we often wondered if we were nuts, but when Karen tells us how much he looks like his dad that it's 'spooky' we are happy he is with her.  Next was Decal.  She has been doing fabulous on the ATV and turning into a nice leader but didn't quite have the speed we were looking for on snow.  She went to live with her half sister, Sahara, in KS with Bill & Ann Conser.  They are very happy with her and we hope she will be a great leader with Sahara for their 4 dog team.  Then we also made the decision to part with Fury.  She is a gorgeous dog in type and structure, but did not have the hard driving mentality we were looking for.  She went to live with Jessica Keiner in NJ to run on her recreational team.

We also had a new dog join our kennel - Kelim's Mollywood of Tsuga has come back to live with us.  We cannot wait to see how she does next season!  She is a very pretty girl who is so easy to live with.  She gets along well with everyone!  We are now waiting for Rainy to come into season.  We want to breed her this summer, but not sure to who yet!  Either Skor or ship her to Karen Ramstead's kennel.  That's the news for now!
