In Memory of Linden ...
Linden crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May
10, 2008. He was only 2 months old. Linden
was the most stunning looking puppy I have
ever been blessed to raise. His deep,
piercing sapphire blue eyes and his white
and tawny coat that was hi-lited with hints
of gold and red in the sunlight were
arresting. It was impossible for people,
even non-dog people, not to oooo an ahhhh
over him. However, what he really shared
with us was his personality and attitude.
From the beginning of his life to his last
hours, he was inquisitive, playful, stoic,
loving and plucky, doing all that one would
expect a puppy to do, but having to do less
of it as his time for leaving drew closer.
However, he never hung back and he never
withdrew into sleep. Instead, he remained
front and center, watching the world with
eyes that seemed wiser than his age. |

.As his
sister passed him in size and energy, he
played with her when he could and snuggled
with her or his mother when he couldn't. We
held a deep and passionate hope that surgery
would fix the problem as there was a 50/50
chance, but it was not to be. In his short
time with us, Linden shared his positive
energy and love, never seeming to doubt that
his mind could overcome matter; a good
example to all of us! We miss you Linden,
very much. We feel blessed to have been a
part of your world. “May the (trails) rise
up to meet you, may the wind be always at
your back, may the sun shine gently upon
your face ... and until we meet again, may
God (and all the other Siberians who have
crossed the Rainbow Bridge) hold you in the
palm of his hand (and their paws).” |
