About Hera ...
Hera was bred by Kim and Kelly Berg of Kelim Sberians and we adopted her from Whatleigh Torsey of Barkng Brook Siberians in January 2006. Being super friendly and easy going (we've nicknamed her lovebug), she adjusted very quickly to her new home and immediately became an active member of the Braeburn team and family. Everyone in her canine family likes her as she doesn't hold a grudge, is always willing to roughhouse (albeit she sometimes gets a little carried away!) or is happy to just keep someone company on top of a doghouse. Hera is a lead dog, but not only this, she is a leader who truly gees over, one of the more difficult commands to teach. We take advantage of this by having her run with other leaders and leaders-in-training and she has helped our training tremendously! Hera is a sensitive and dependable girl (except when she spies wildlife and then she is off!) and her love and loyalty know no bounds. Her sensitivity really shone when I, Kathy, would take her to visit my mother who was confined to a wheel chair and bed and slowly dying of Alzheimer's Disease.

 Hera would place her paw or head gently on my mother's lap as my mom stroked her for long periods of time, Hera never moving. She gave my mother, who had owned large breed dogs all of her life, hours of contentment, a gift beyond words. We feel blessed to have Hera as a member of our family.
