Welcome! We are located in Windsor,
Vermont in the beautiful Connecticut
River Valley on a 40 acre vegetable
farm, part of which you see below. “We”
is Kathy Bennett, and my daughter
Elizabeth. However, we could not do all
that we do without the extraordinary
support and help of my husband Alex and
stepdaughter Lissa!

The main focus of Braeburn is a kennel
of happy, well-trained dogs who work
together as a team with each other and
with us. They are members of our family,
and as such we strive to maintain a
knowledgeable, loving and respectful
relationship with each individual dog,
as if they were our only dog. They are
primarily sled dogs, the original role
of the Siberian husky.
From the first cool days of autumn until
the warm days of spring, we work together to
build a team built on trust, communication,
skill and endurance. We run primarily for
the sheer joy of being out with our dogs,
but we also focus on building towards the
challenge of mid-distance races (15-60
miles). In addition, some of the dogs are
working towards becoming certified emotional
therapy dogs so that we can share their
friendly and sensitive spirits with those in
need of comfort and a smile.
We breed on a limited basis to build our
team and sell to approved homes. We also
hope to offer dog sled tours soon!
